When our daughter was born HIE, we had no thought what that meant. It meant, we later found out, that she had been deprived of oxygen for an indeterminate amount of time, and that she was going to suffer the penalty of that for the rest of her life.

One of the penalty was CVI, or Cortical Visual Impairment. So they tell me my daughters eyes work properly, but her brain interprets what the eyes see in a way that is not normal. The equipment is fine, but the wiring is faulty.
